  1. Where do you look for umpires in these games?

  2. I get them from a line service I subscribe to (Sports Options) but it's not free.

  3. top money umpires for 2012 OVER /UNDER so far this season?

    ReplyDelete
  4. So far Wally Bell is 4-0 to the Under. Jeff Kellogg is 5-0 to the Under. Brian O'Nora is 5-0 to the Over. Larry Vanover is 5-0 to the Under with a miniscule 3.6 runs/game. You might remember Vanover as the one that rang up Cody Ross to the end the game on 3 pitches that weren't strikes.

    1. Thanks again AJ.

Hey does the service provide the whole crew or just the HP ump?

  7. You're welcome. It gives me the whole crew. I usually tweet which ump is working the next game.

  8. Thanks AJ...this is helpful stuff. Keep it coming if you can and thanks again in advance!

  9. AJ, when you say that umpires are "due up", how do you determine that? I know the same crews travel together, but do they have the same rotation (i.e 3B to 2B to 1B to HP to 3B) even when they go from one series to another?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Ya, they almost always have the same rotation. So the guys "due up" are the guys that were at 1B to end the previous series.

    1. Sorry, I didn't see your Mia/Stl question til today. The best way to get a hold of me for a quick response is to mention me on twitter 1st, or email 2nd. But basically, 99% of the time if I haven't posted an ump yet, or haven't edited the post indicating I won't be around to post that ump, then I don't have that ump yet.

    1. Don't trust covers when it comes to umpires. It's Darling today and we can look for Emmel to have the plate in a new series tomorrow.

    1. Miller continues to be favorite ump. He just does his thing year in and year out. Kelloggs having a big under year. Some of my favorites like Eddings, Cuzzi, and Runge started out on the Over side this year but all three have turned the corner and are getting back to where they belong on the under side. Lots of good things happening w/ umps this year.

  23. Philly under 7 looks good tomorrow. Blaser has a really nice under record coupled with the fact he only has one over in his last 10 games.

  25. You are a very nice guy to publish these umps every day!

  26. AH, thanks for all that you do. Question, when week you start posting the 2013 record for each umpire?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Shortly. I'm kind of waiting for NBA/NHL to end so I have more time for MLB stuff.

  28. AJ, why don't you post at EOG? less volume but doesn't have the college absurdity of SBR. some real good baseball guys over at EOG.
